LivUP Size Guide

Press-on nails only look salon-made when they fit properly. Follow the three steps below to find your size — it takes about five minutes and you only ever need to do it once.

Step 1 — Measure your nails

Method 1 (recommended): measuring tape
Hold a soft measuring tape horizontally across the widest curve of your natural nail. Read the measurement in millimetres and write it down. Repeat for all ten nails — your thumbs and little fingers are almost always different sizes.

Method 2: paper and pen
Press a strip of paper flat against your nail bed. Mark the left and right edges at the widest point, then lay the strip against a ruler and read the distance between the two marks.

Measure the nail bed itself, not the free edge that grows past your fingertip.

Step 2 — Match to the size chart

Find the row closest to each measurement. If you land between two sizes, always go up — a slightly wide nail still glues down cleanly, a narrow one lifts at the sides.

Size Width (mm) Usually fits
0 16.0 Thumb
1 15.0 Thumb
2 14.0 Thumb / index
3 13.0 Index
4 12.0 Index / middle
5 11.0 Middle / ring
6 10.0 Ring
7 9.0 Ring / little
8 8.0 Little
9 7.0 Little

Widths are measured across the widest point of the nail bed.

Step 3 — Choose your shape and length

Shapes. Almond softens and lengthens the finger. Coffin holds a strong straight edge. Oval is the most forgiving on shorter nail beds. Square reads sharp and modern. Squoval sits between square and oval and suits almost everyone.

Lengths. Short sits at or just past your fingertip and survives typing and washing up. Medium adds a few millimetres for shape without getting in the way. Long is the statement option — beautiful, but give yourself a day to adjust.

If this is your first set, short or medium in almond or squoval is the safest place to start.
